Roger is a petrol head and with his love of all things mechanical it is no suprise that even though he spends most of his week on the road he still enjoys using his 1966 G M C Fenderside LHD pick-up to attend car shows and rallies at weekends throughout the year, along with other members of the Zoom Club, like minded folk who Roger has known since his late teens.

The truck at present is awaiting to have some work carried out to the body as well as an engine swap, the 6 cylinder lump being replaced by a V8 small block Chevy engine and auto gearbox, this along with an LPG conversion should make towing the caravan much more relaxing. He is hoping that the work could be complete for the NASC Street Rod Nationals in August at Trinity Park, Ipswich.

It includes a 400 plus car cruise to Felixstowe promenade, but if not later at the annual Norfolk Police Gala day when it is possible it will be shown on the Norfolk Street Cruisers stand.

ALT will be supporting the East Coast Truckers charity at Police Gala Day on 31st August 2008, putting on vehicles for the ever popular arrive and drive sessions when you will have the opportunity to drive one of the big rigs.

Having also competed in Motor Sport over many years on the small ovals in varying formula Roger is keen to assist one of his many friends at the Citroen 2CV 24 hour race at Snetterton as a member of Jeremy Clarks pit crew. Jeremy from Attleborough is a multiple single seater champion and in 2005 drove for Porsche at the Snetteron support races to BTCC. The 24hr weekend is robably the Norfolk circuits best calender moment. Never under estimate these little cars for non stop action.

Happisburgh Football Team 2007-2008

Pausing for breath doesn't seem to be part of Rogers agenda and putting something back into his own interests sees him managing North East Norfolk league Division One side Happisburgh. On more than one occasion recently has seen him put his boots back on allowing captain/son Billy to get his own back with a more youthful outlook on positional play and how many blades of grass he needs to cover.
