TOWING TUITION
Due to recent updates in legislation any person who passed their driving test after 1997 are required to take the B+E driving test to tow a caravan or trailer over 750kgs.
ALT can provide up to date training for those with little or no experience of towing. This course is designed to provide more time to learn and practice to reach the standard required to take the B+E test. This can be group or one to one.
We can provide a suitable vehicle and trailer combination in which to train and complete the test should this be required.

What to expect at the test....
On arrival at the testing station and you have been seen by the examiner and had your licences checked, you will be expected to demonstrate the following:
On a designated manoeuvring area:
Show and tell the answers to various relevant questions (e.g. how would you secure a load?)
A reverse to the blind side, finishing in a set marked bay.
A controlled braking excercise.
An un-couple and re-couple of the combination.
Out on the road:
A competent and confident drive over a mixed route.
An uphill and downhill start.
Moving off safely and under control.
All to meet the standard you carried out on passing the B category test.....
but this time with a trailer!!!!
